Sharrieff Omar Muhammed

Sharrieff Omar Muhammad was born October 24, 1979 in Kansas City, Missouri to Faiza Muhammad and Oscar Shelby Jr. He was the first born of seven children from his mother and would not fail to let his siblings forget it. Sharrieff grew up with a love for the arts. Starting off with simple stick figures and moving onto cartoons and portraits. Ultimately, turning his passion and talents into a way of living, he became familiar in the city as Omar, "the tattoo man." Omar was a Muslim (one who submits to the will of God). With that duty he never passed on the opportunity to help his fellow human in need, to spit knowledge, to inform the misinformed, and/or simply advance the mindsets of those he encountered, When he wasn't making his mark through his ink, he was sharing his beautiful smile, his tender heard, his fearless spirit, his contagious laughter, and unconditional love with his family. Omar departed his vessel December 9, 2016. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Aisha Muhammed, his aunt Audrey Brown, and uncle's Mark Morris and Hussein Muhammed. He Leaves behind to cherish his memory, his parents Faiza Muhammad and Oscar Shelby Jr. of Kansas City, his step father Leo A. Dorch of Kansas City, his grandparents Oscar and Mary Lou Shelby of Kansas City, four sisters, 5 brothers, his brother in laws Brandon M. Dial and Dale Harper of Kansas City, eleven nieces and nephews as well as a host of other family members.
