Shawanda D. Draper

Shawanda D. Draper departed this life on March 29, 2024. She was born on January 17, 1985, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Sharon Slater and Quention Draper Sr.  She grew up in Kansas City, Missouri and attended Paseo Academy of Fine and Performing Arts. After graduating school, in 2004, she began working at the United States Postal Service.

She is preceded in death by her brother Quention Draper Jr.; maternal grandparents, William and Mildred Slater; paternal grandparents, Floyd and Hattie Draper; two aunts, Wanda Slater and Valerie Ann Slater-Kinnermon; and one uncle Raymond Draper.

She leaves to cherish her memories: mother Sharon Slater; father Quention Draper Sr.; her siblings: Shayla Johnson (Lauren), Tyree Draper, Richard Draper (Cynthia); her uncle Keith Slater (Linda); her aunts: Janet Fitzpatrick (John), Ida Mitchell, Edna Draper, Naomia Jones, Mary Marbles (Calvin), Sherry Riggins (Albert), Chrystell Draper (Raymond); Ishmae’l Johnson, Israel Johnson, other nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
