Shawna Renee Silas

Ms. Shawna Renee Silas entered this life on July 11, 1970, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Wilma Silas and Hosia Jones.

Shawna received her education in the Kansas City School District, attending Northeast High School. She received her CNA license and began her career in nursing.

 Her family was her heartbeat. Her children were her pride and joy. She was overjoyed when she became a grandmother. Her grandchildren brought her great joy and happiness. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, having game night and watching movies. She was a sweet soul that would give you the shirt off her back. Even though she was not an active member of a church, she did confess her faith in God and believed His unconditional love for her.

Ms. Shawna Renee Silas departed this life and journey into eternity on Saturday, July 19, 2025. Her mother Wilma Silas, her father, Hosia Jones and her brother Brandon Silas, preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her son; Tyler Silas Sr. (Keshia) of Kansas City, Missouri; her daughter; Adriauna Silas (Marc) of Atlanta, Georgia; two grandsons, Tyler Silas Jr. and Tristian Silas both of Kansas City, Missouri; one granddaughter, Vae’gh Silas-Gaines of Atlanta, Georgia; three sisters, Phyllis Moore (Alfred) of Belton, Missouri, Stephanie Silas of Grandview, Missouri, and Marquita Harris of Kansas City, Missouri; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
