Shelia E Baylis

Sheila Baylis, 58, passed away on July 29, 2019 at Truman Medical Center, in Kansas City, MO. She was born on November 3, 1960 in Kansas City to Robert Mitchell and Mae Francis. She grew up in Kansas City,  MO. She began work for Kansas City Police Department as a Administrative Assistant, where she worked for 22 years. She retired in 2015 after 22 years. She married Henry Baylis Jr on January 2, 1986 in Kansas City. They were happily married for 33 years.

She was preceded into death by her parents Robert and Mae Francis Mitchell, nephew, Brian Mitchell, and great niece A’Zariyah.

She is survived by her husband, Henry Baylis Jr., children Robert Baylis and Henry (Shannon) Baylis III, 2 grandchildren, Amani Baylis, henry Baylis IV, Nova Rayne Baylis, Shai’enne Baylis and Willow Baylis, 3 sisters Patricia Mitchell, Brenda Mitchell, and Sherry Mitchell, brother in law Donald (Meredith) Baylis Sr, sister in laws Jo Ann Beaver, Renee (Clarence) Bennett, and Yvette Baylis- Leap, and a host of nieces , nephews, and cousins, other family and friends.
