Shelia Lorraine Hobley, 70, passed away on April 12, 2020 at home in Kansas City, MO. She was born on December 30, 1949 in Kansas City, MO to Robert and Nesne Moore. She grew up in Kansas City, MO and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1967.
She married her high school sweetheart Thomas E. Hobley on September 30, 1967. To this union a son, Thomas R. Hobley was born in 1968 and a daughter, Anika Hobley was added in 1977. The marriage ended in 1986 and she never remarried. Her and Thomas Hobley remained very good friends.
She began work for City National Bank as a keypunch operator and worked there for several years. She later worked for Milgram’s Food Stores as a computer operator and worked there until health problems forced her to retire early in 1992. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to those closest to her. She was a pet lover and enjoyed a simple life at home with her pets. Through several health problems over the years she remained in good spirits and never complained about nothing.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents,
Robert & Nesne Moore and daughter Anika Hobley.
She is survived by her son Thomas R. Hobley(Yawana) of Kansas City, MO, sisters Joyce Williams of Denver, CO and Eloyce Moore of Kansas City, MO; niece Leigh Williams of Denver, CO; grandchildren LaToya Ladd, Kiana Hobley, Deiontay Brown, Deiona Hobley and Da’Corrian Brown; 8 great grandchildren and very loving caregiver Frankie Glenn and Antonia Washington
and a host of other Family and friends.
