She was born in Kansas City, Missouri, on May 24, 1958, to William Edward Johnson Sr and Anna Mae Johnson. She grew up in the greater Kansas City area and attended Central High School. Although she did not graduate with her classmates, she did attend Pioneer Community College of Kansas City and obtained her GED soon after. Shelia was a fun-loving single mother of (5). Raising not only her three biological children but her niece (Kyetta Perkins) and nephew (Ernest Smith Jr). Shelia held numerous office jobs until she decided Property Management was her calling. Shelia touched everybody’s lives and made it a point to make all those she encountered feel so important and special. From the holiday celebrations or just everyone coming over, hanging out and enjoying her delicious cooking. She offered a level of optimism that was honest, heartfelt, and spilled over into all that she did. Shelia saw the world as it was and despite the challenges that existed, she still looked to God our creator as a conscious choice. Christ was a significant part of her life and was introduced to her in childhood. Shelia attended Sheffield Family Life Center until her health no longer permitted. Still following from her bedside via the internet. Shelia transition into eternal life knowing God. Her warm demeanor was infectious and her laugh, a comfort to the ear. Anyone who knew Shelia was touched by her kindness, humor, and self-determination. Even during her last days, she still was encouraged. Known for her sensitive spirit, Shelia would cry for you, about you and with you! Yet she was sassy and infamous for her trash talking skills!
