Shelley Ray Brown

Shelley Ray Brown, age 66, passed away on January 19, 2026, at her home in Grandview, Missouri. She was born December 23, 1959, in Wagoner, Oklahoma, to Julius Brown Sr. and Sophronia (Cliff) Brown. 

Shelley Ray grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, graduating from Southeast High School. After high school she pursued a career in the Health Care field, earning a degree in Nursing, where she worked as a dedicated LPN for many years.

Shelley Ray was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend.

She was preceded in death by her father and other dear family members who are truly missed.

Left to cherish Shelley Ray's memory: her mother, Sophronia Brown; two daughters: Natriecia Ivy-Charity (Tomarko) and Nechelle Ivy; four grandchildren: Jeremiah Ivy, Dosinque Nichols, Damarco Ivy and Mya Martin; two great grandchildren; four siblings: Mark Brown (Robyn), Sherrey Brown, Julius Brown (Michelle) and Julian Brown; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family and friends.
