Sheronda Linn Washington, 55, entered eternal life on May 19, 2026, at Saint Lukes Hospital. She was born on March 25, 1971, in Kansas City, Kansas, to Thomas Zlee Hinton and Willie Vesire Washington. She leaves behind a legacy of love, joy, and friendship that will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
To know her was to love her. Affectionately known as “PeWee”, she had a smile that could light up a room and a personality that left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Known for her sense of humor, infectious laughter, and beautiful spirit, she was often the life of the party. She was a loving mother and grandmother, a devoted sister and aunt, and a loyal friend. Her kindness, compassion, and unwavering love for others will continue to be reflected in the lives of those she touched.
In recent years, she gave her life to God and found comfort in her faith. She embraced that journey with sincerity and an open heart.
Above all else, she will be remembered for the love she shared, the joy she brought, and the way she lived simply by being herself. She was funny, loving, forgiving, faithful, and deeply loved by the people around her. Her presence was a gift, her friendship was a blessing, and she will never be forgotten.
She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved sons, Dai’Jon Washington and Kobe Washington; her bonus son, Damarcus Henderson; her grandson, Dai'Ontay Washington; her granddaughter, Se’Mira Washington; her loving father, Thomas Hinton; her dear aunt, Florence Vaughn-Pinkston; her sister, Yolanda Hinton-Boykins (Roger Boykins Sr.); her special sisters, Shanée Eatmon (Curtis Eatmon) and Elaine Shea (Don Shea); her special brothers, Darrian Emerson and Lewis Vaughn Jr.; her niece, Ra’Janae Boykins; her nephew, Roger Boykins Jr.; her great-nieces, Alay’Lian, De’Aujai, and Rylee; her great-nephews, Roger III and Royce; along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, dear friends, and loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Willie Versire Washington; her son, Ja'Mire Washington; her grandparents, Daisy Nickels, Willie Harris, Celesta Hinton, and U.L. Hinton.
