Sidney V. Taylor Jr. (PIC) was born on October 31, 1960, in Kansas City, Kansas to Sidney V. Taylor Sr. and Barbara Taylor. He was the fourth child of six siblings.
He was preceded in death by his father Sidney V. Taylor Sr., sister Gloria Harlin and nephew Timothy Washington.
Sidney was a member of Christian Fellowship Church, he loved the Lord and was often asked to sing one of his favorite songs, “Jesus is Love” by Lionel Richie.
Sidney attended Sumner High School in Kansas City Kansas.
Sidney worked for the 18th St Truck Stop for over 15+years and Empire Candles, he was not a stranger to hard work.
Sidney loved music and loved to sing. One of his all-time favorite groups was the elements Earth Wind and Fire! (If you know; you know).
Sidney was the jokester of the family he and his brother Ernie would sit on the porch and joke and laugh for hours. He always had a funny story to tell and always had a smile on his face. Sidney loved to barbeque, if there was a grill going best believe he was behind it.
Sidney was also a huge sports fan baseball; basketball and his all-time favorite football team was the Kansas City Chiefs.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his mother Barbara Taylor, his brother Ernest Taylor Sr., his sister’s Donna Williams, Victoria Todd, Doris Taylor-Jenkins (Don Jenkins Sr.) all of Kansas City Kansas.
Nieces: Cassandra Taylor, Nedra Williams, Tori Stone, Tynika Floyd (Brian Floyd) Candis Taylor and honorary niece Talicia Purvis
Nephews: Michael Todd ll, (Marchelle Williams) Ernest Taylor Jr., Donta Jenkins (Ranisha Sampson)
Great nieces Essence Oliver, Sentasia Floyd, Brionna Floyd, Naomi Floyd, Mariah Todd, Micah Todd
Great nephews Michael Todd III, Jordan McKinney, Kyran Taylor, Karmelo Taylor and a host of family and friends.
