Stanley Bell

October 31, 1951 — June 22, 2017

Listen to Obituary

Stanley Bell was born October 31, 1951 to Jewel Bell and Polly Mae Ackles Bell in Memphis, Tennessee. The family moved to Kansas City, Missouri in the mid-sixties, where they attended and fellowshipped at Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church.

Stanley attended High School at Central Sr, High in K.C., MO. He worked in the Construction Industry as an Ironworker for many years through Local 10 Ironworkers Union, before retiring only a few years ago. Stanley was an Entrepreneur and True Businessman, as the owner of several businesses throughout his lifetime. He understood the true value of a dollar bill, a five dollar bill, a hundred dollar bill, etc. But more importantly, he knew the value of GOD, family, and friends.

Stanley loved and he was loved. Stanley left us June 22, 2017 peacefully in his own home with no drama, and hopefully no regrets or excuses. Stan was the man! He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Dr. Jewel Bell, Sammy L. Pettis, Felix Bell, and Trent B. Bell, sisters; Lola “Apriel” Lomax, Jean Bell Mille, and Charlene L. Lewis Gunnels.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory his children; Robert booker, Maurice Booker, Laura Booker (KCMO) by Betty Booker, and Stanisha Bell (Ft.Smith, AR) by Tiffany Mirchum, four sisters; Claudette Watson (KCMO), Mozella Dotson (Aubrey) (Gary, Indiana), Pinkie Windless and Sharon Jones (Memphis, TN), and two brothers; Ben Bell (Anne), (Memphis, TN) and Ralph Bell (KCMO), eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends.
