Sterling Harris Bryant

Sterling Harris Bryant, 99, born April 8, 1918, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on January 7, 2018, at VA Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. He graduated from Lincoln High School in Kansas City, Missouri in 1936. He was a Dining Car Waiter for Kansas City Southern Railroad Company for 25 years. He ran unsuccessfully for the Missouri General Assembly in 1964, 1966 and 1968 under the banner of Freedom, Inc. He later operated the Print Shop at Truman Medical Center East for many years. He is survived by four children: Eric Bryant (Nancy), Mark Bryant (Michelle), Stephanie Williams (Owen) and Brandy Price. A memorial celebration was held at Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church, 2310 E. Linwood Blvd., KCMO, on Thursday, January 11, 2018.
