Steve Edgerson

Steve Edgerson, 72, was born on March 26, 1945 in Kansas City, KS. He was the fifth of seven children born to John and Everlena Edgerson. He accepted Christ at an early age. He grew up in Kansas City, KS and graduated from Sumner High School in Kansas City, KS. After high school he joined the Army in 1965. After his discharged from the Army he attended Kansas City, KS Community College and achieved a certificate computer studies. He began working for the Board of Public Utilities (BPU) as a Console Operator where he worked for 34 years and retired in 2006. He was a skilled bid whist player and domino “EXPERT”. He was an avid basketball and football fan who strongly supported the Chiefs and KU Jayhawks basketball. He was preceded in death by his parents John Sr. & Everlena Edgerson, two sister’s Emma Jean Carrere & Johnella Guinn. He married Norma Savage on January 15, 1977 in Kansas City, KS. To this union they had one son, Steven Edgerson. With this union also came two children he raised as his own; Reahlene Savage & Bryan Anthony Cole. On Wednesday September 27, 2017 the Lord looked down and said, “Servant well done.” Steve leaves to treasure his memory, two sons Steven Edgerson (Elaine) of Belton, Mo, Bryan Anthony Cole of Kansas City, Mo, step-daughter Reahlene Roberts of Kansas City, Mo. Three brothers, Merlon Edgerson of Chicago, IL, John Edgerson Jr. (Jan) of Kansas City, MO, and Raymond Edgerson (Morssie) of Raytown, MO, Two sisters, Bobbie Allen of Dallas, TX and Evelyn Wayne in Kansas City, KS. He leaves eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
