Tajre "Dre" Malik Bass Hill, 28, passed away on September 7, 2026, at Research Medical Center. Tajre was born to Brandon Bass and Tasha Hill. Tajre grew up in Grandview, Missouri. He graduated from Excelsior Job Corps Center, where he obtained his GED, and was qualified to lay cement. Tajre won Student of the month at the Job Corps Center and went on to work as a dedicated driver for FedEx. Tajre was a lifelong resident of the area and was known by family and friends as the kindest soul—always friendly, even though he was naturally shy.
Tajre found his greatest joy in spending time with his family. He enjoyed spending time with his sisters, brothers, and cousins; they would have a good time laughing, cherishing every moment together. In his early years, he enjoyed playing football as part of the local community. He enjoyed gaming and listening to music. Tajre had a gentle spirit with a Winnie the Pooh smile. His caring nature will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Patricia Hill and Marcellus Hill and his paternal grandmother, Ruth Taylor.
Tajre leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Tasha Hill, and Brandon Bass (YoLesna), step-father, Anthony Williams; his paternal grandfather James Taylor; siblings, Ranisha, Raniah, Tyrese, Tayshawn, Antonio, Marquise, Anntoinette, Anthony, Khalil, Tre'Vion; aunts and uncles; Danyawn Burnett (Morris), Michelle Carter (Van), Bobby Hernandez and Marcellus Hill Jr., Jacqueline Broadus (William), Jamie Hall ( Edwardo Mitchell), Della ( David) Harris, Bill (Jeanette) Bass, and host of loving family members, friends, and the Grandview community, whose lives he touched. Tajre’s legacy of kindness and love will never be forgotten.
