Telly Clarence Magitt, age 19, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on March 5, 2026. Christ has claimed His own; our dear beloved one. He was born on January 22, 2007, in Kansas City, Missouri. He was the cherished son of Brandi Renee Howard. He was a true believer in Christ, his Savior, whom he accepted at the age of 5 and to whom he would often pray. His deep compassion for his family, extended family and friends was only exceeded by his love for Christ. He had a contagious spirit and a smile that would brighten anyone’s day. He was blessed with an all-around gentle and humble soul.
Telly was an amazing son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, boyfriend, and friend. His family meant everything to him. Most importantly, his greatest passion was spending meaningful time with his mother, Brandi, and his brother, Brayson. His unwavering love for both was undeniable. He played many roles for them, particularly his brother, acting as bodyguard, mentor, playmate, and protector, but above all, he was a devoted son and loving big brother!
He had a very special and loving relationship with his Dear Nana, Vivian, whom he adored and admired, along with Papa Rod. Their countless hours of talking and time spent together will be lasting memories. Also, he treasured his relationship with longtime girlfriend and soulmate, Ms. Raygen Hester, whose bond and love will endure far longer than anyone can imagine. Telly lived with great joy, excitement, and creativity. He spent the majority of his life in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. His journey for knowledge began at the tender age of 2, at Walker’s Daycare in Kansas City, Missouri. He completed his education in the Lee’s Summit School District. He graduated from Lee’s Summit High School in 2025. After high school, he attended Longview Community College to earn an Automotive Technology Associate’s Degree for employment with Ford Motor Company or General Motors Company.
Telly held several part-time jobs during high school and college. He was willing to work and earn his own way. He worked at Freddy’s as a line cook, Hy-Vee grocery as a checker, and Blue Springs Windows and Siding as a sales marketer.
Telly loved sports, especially baseball and basketball. During his formative years, he played little league baseball and middle school basketball. He was a model car enthusiast, and he would add many models to his collection. However, his keen interest was fixing and working on various types of cars, thanks to his unique skill with his hands. Other activities included family functions, watching movies, and gaming.
Telly will be greatly missed by all who he loved, knew, or were impacted by his generous nature and kind heart. God Bless you all!
