Tenesha Miller

Tenesha Miller was born March 30, 1986, in Kansas City, Missouri to the late William Miller and Lenora Davis Miller.

Tenesha was an attendee of Central High School of Kansas City, Missouri. Tenesha was raised in the church and accepted Christ at an early age. She was a member of Faith Tabernacle Deliverance Ministry and was employed at various school districts including the Hickman Mills School District where she worked for five years.

Tenesha was diagnosed with cancer in 2015. She vowed that she would not allow her condition to take her smile or joy; to live life to the fullest; to keep her down; and stop her from “living her life like it’s golden”. Tenesha was a beloved mother, sister, and friend. She was known for her sweet spirit, contagious laughter, giving heart, and willingness to help others.  She was a mother to nine beautiful children in which she took great pleasure in loving and raising in a Christian home. She was devoted to her children, family, and Christ. You could often find her dancing, singing, traveling, shopping, or reading her Bible.

Tenesha departed her joyful life peacefully at home July 25, 2022, surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her father and mother William and Lenora Davis Miller and grandparents Leroy and Catherine Davis.

She leaves to cherish in her precious memory her nine loving children - Anthony Stewart III, Antwon Stewart, Taron Stewart, Tylan Stewart Tayveon Stewart, Treyveon Stewart, Tanaeza Stewart, Tiaysha Stewart, Taniya Stewart; sisters - Tyekesha Miller and Lisa Nelson; brothers - David Miller and Alonzo Miller; uncles - Albert Davis, Van Davis (Debra), and Paul Davis (Danita); aunts - Jewestine Robinson (Johnny), Shirley Locke (Robert), Emma Johnson (Chester), Linda Smith (Lafayette); a special nephew Kamryn and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.

Tenesha will be greatly missed but her smile and laughter will always be remembered.

“He only takes the BEST! God saw that she was getting tired. A cure was not to be. So, he put his arms around her and whispered, “Come with Me”. Although we loved her dearly, we could not make her stay. A pure golden heart stopped beating, her hard-working hands to rest. God broke our hearts to prove he only takes the BEST.”
