Teola Holmes

Teola Holmes, 92, passed away February 20, 2021 at Saint Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. She was born on July 10, 1928 in Shaw, Mississippi to Sullivan Holmes and Bessie Mae Webb. She grew up in Chicago, Illinois. She graduated from Public Schools of Shaw in Shaw, Mississippi.

She began working at a hospital as a Housekeeper and worked there for many of years.

Teola was preceded into death by her parents: Sullivan Holmes and Bessie Mae Webb; three brothers: Dudley & David Hill and Willie J. Holmes; two sisters: Luella Dean and Alberta Myles.

She is survived by her son: Sullivan Holmes; daughter: Gloria Jean Holmes; seven grandchildren: Acheal Holmes, Quincy Holmes, Quba (Marcus) Haislip, Geanne Holmes, Sullivan Franklin, Dante Franklin, and Marie Silas.
