Teressa Johnson

Teressa L Johnson, 86, passed away November 9, 2021 at St. Joseph Hospital in KCMO. She was born on May 16, 1935 in KCMO to Otis L. Moore, Sr. and Lettie B. (Freeman) Moore. She grew up in KCMO. She graduated from Lincoln High School in KCMO. She worked for the Ford Motor Company for several years.  She loved the Lord and attended Concorde Fortress of Hope Church in KCMO where she was on the Mother Board. She enjoyed going to the Hillcrest Community Center weekly where she exercised, attended classes, and played games. She married Thomas A. Johnson, Jr. in March of 1958 and was married for 19 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Lettie Moore; husband, Thomas A. Johnson, Jr.; son, Thomas A. Johnson III; siblings, Otis Moore, Jr., Michael Walker, Edgar Freeman III, Richard Freeman, Beverly Martinez, and Julia Dickerson.

She is survived by children, Wendell Simmons, Jr. (Mary),  Naamiy Lirit Yisrael, and LaVeda Johnson; siblings, Cheryl Johnson, Marlene Carpenter (Robert), Diana Morgan (Titus), David Moore, and Barry Freeman; and 33 grandchildren.
