Thomas Posey

Thomas Austin Posey was born March 12, 1942 to John Allen Posey and Ivory O. Poke-Posey, in Vian, Oklahoma. Both parents preceded him in death. Thomas graduated from Manual High & Vocational School in 1960. After graduation he entered the United States Navy where he served for 4 years. Upon his return to Kansas City, Thomas later mar-ried his soulmate Rena Lou Lewis in October of 1966. To this union three children were born; Ter-ry Allen Posey, Thomas Allen Posey and Cedrick Eugene Posey. Thomas worked for Sears Company for many years until his retirement. Thomas was preceded in death by his wife Rena Posey, sons, Terry Allen Posey, Cedrick Eugene Pos-ey, sister Betty Mays and brother Eugene Posey. He leaves to cherish his memories a son, Thomas Allen Posey (Willetta); one grandchild Te’Airra Pos-ey. Thomas also leaves behind three sisters, Minis-ter Glendale Henry, Evangelist Lola A. Cunningham (James) and Minister Gloria Snipes; sisters-in-law Lagretta Adkins and Julia Ellingburg (Robert); brothers-in-law, James Lewis and Ronnie Lewis, Lonnie Lewis of Paris Arkansas; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
