Thomas Lee Reeder, passed away on October 11, 2024 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. He was born on August 16, 1948, in Marianna, Arkansas to Rufus and Juanita Reeder.
He grew up in Marianna, Arkansas, and graduated from Anna Strong High School in Marianna, Arkansas. After high school, he attended The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. After graduating high school, he was drafted into the United Stated Army and served for 2 years. He continued serving in the Army Reserves until April of 1976. He later began working for Wonder Hostess and was promoted to supervisor. He retired in 2006 after 37 years of service.
He enjoyed watching sports, fishing, listening to music, traveling to New Orleans, and spending time with family and friends. He loved football, especially the Kansas City Chiefs. He also enjoyed spending time with his lawn helper Payden. Thomas also loved God and enjoyed attending church services regularly.
He married Marilyn Perkins on November 3, 1983, in Kansas City, Missouri. They were happily married for 40 years.
He was preceded into death by his parents, Rufus Reeder and Juanita Reeder Vauters, his three sisters; Maxine Reeder, Connie Mae Reeder, Wanda Faye McNeely; one brother, Rufus Reeder Jr., and stepson Sheldon A.C. Haynes.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Reeder, three daughters; Vickie Reeder, Tawana Reeder- Mcleod, and Thomasena Reeder, two stepsons; Micheal Reeder, and Bradford Reeder, two brothers; Terry (Ophelia) Reeder of Aubrey, Arkansas, and Calvin Reeder of Rondo, Arkansas; seven sisters; Alma (Donald) Branch of Clarendon, Arkansas, Anita (Curtis) Robinson of Proctor, Arkansas, Ruby (Charles) Adams of Proctor, Arkansas, Sandra (Kent) Valentine of Benton Harbor, Michigan, Arlene (John) Long of Aubrey, Arkansas, Allene (Derek) Bishop of Arlington, Texas, Lynette (Derrick) Bond of Princeton, Texas, six grandchildren, and host great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
