Tianna LaMara Williams was born May 2, 1994 to Yetra Akins and Terry Williams. Tianna graduated from Ruskin High School in 2012 and attended Lincoln University (MO). Tianna worked for the Post Office before pursuing other opportunities.
When Tianna was younger, she was a member of the KC Dance Academy and the Pythons Drill team. Her love of dance led her to also be a member of the dance troupe at Lincoln University. While at Lincoln Tianna studied History. She could teach you anything about history, especially Black History.
Tianna had the amazing ability to capture your heart with her warm hugs, soft kisses and beautiful smile. Tianna enjoyed spending time with family. Her love for her family showed in every interaction she had with them. She also loved music, reading, and fishing.
Tianna was a lifelong member of Willis Chapel AME Church. She recently joined the church choir. When it was time to start rehearsing, Tianna was often heard saying “Oooo, that’s my song” as she snapped her fingers.
Tianna is preceded in death by her great-grandparents Lollie Akins, Walter Akins, Edward. B. Stewart Sr., and Truman Williams. Grandparents Sandra Akins and Edward B. Stewart. Cousin James Hill and godsister Era’shae Johnson.
She leaves to cherish her memory, the love of her life, Talia L. Williams, parents, Yetra Akins-Carter (Kevin) and Terry Williams, Stepmom Kecia Williams. Sisters Tierra L. Williams, La’Shantris Smith, Brianna Walton. Brothers Terry Williams Jr., Tyree Williams, and London Williams. Grandparents Jackie Williams and Bruce Williams and great- grandmothers Wilhelmina Stewart and Jeanette Smith. Godsisters Elaysha Johnson, Jazymn Ross, and Tiffany Hylton, godbrothers Ryan Ross and Michael Davis III, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
