She was born on April 13, 1988, in Kansas City to Dwight Baker and Reddena McGary, and was the youngest daughter in her family. She grew up in Kansas City and graduated from Southeast High School. She continued her education at Langston University, where she developed a deep love for Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., and became a proud Kappa Sweetheart with Krimson Kourt Incorporated (KKI).
Tisha was the heart and soul of every gathering, the ultimate hype woman who lifted everyone around her. She had an unwavering devotion to her loved ones, always showing up in their times of need and fiercely protecting those she cared about. To know her was to love her—her warmth, energy, and infectious spirit turned friends into family. She never met a stranger—only future family. She was also known for gracing the runway at fashion and hair shows, showcasing her beauty and poise.
In October 2018, Tisha earned her pharmacy technician license and worked at Saint Luke’s Hospital. Outside of her career, she was passionate about hair, nails, music, dancing, and cherishing moments with her beloved son, Jamel ("Mello").
Tisha was preceded in death by her grandmother, JoAnne McGary, and her father, Dwight Baker. She is survived by her mother and "pops," Reddena McGary and Rodney Mitchell; her son, Jamel Jordan; sisters Quansha Hibler (Jovan) and Khidra Baker; brothers Jeff Baker (Stacey) and Kahhri McGary; as well as her beloved nieces and nephews, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
