Heaven gained a gentle soul as Tony Lee Cummings Jr. received his wings on Thursday December 10, 2025.
Tony Lee Cummings Jr. was known for his gentle spirit, calming presence, and sincere love for connection. From an early age, Tony shared a close and devoted bond with his mother, Zoe Ann Wade and father, Tony Cummings Sr. Growing predominantly by his mother's side, being raised to be a loving individual.
Tony moved through the world with an open heart and childlike joy, embracing life with authenticity and resilience. Though he experienced unique health and developmental challenges, he never allowed them to define or limit him. Instead, Tony lived freely, finding happiness in socializing, sharing moments with loved ones, and simply being present.
The youngest in his family, Tony, became the new baby of the family, following the early loss of his younger sister, Monshae Cummings. He was raised alongside his sisters, LaTosha Brown and Carmelita Wade, in a family that supported and uplifted him every step of the way.
Against the odds, Tony graduated from Ruskin High School in 2003 and went on to demonstrate strong dedication in his working years. He served faithfully at Pembroke for 17 years, followed by employment at Walmart and Costco. Tony took pride in his work and showed consistency and commitment throughout his career. It didn’t matter if Tony was pushing carts or helping elderly safely get into the store, he made sure to do it with favor and faith.
He found joy in watching NBA basketball and NFL football, enjoying good food, and spending time with family and friends. In November 2024, he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and was given a prognosis of six to nine months. True to his enduring spirit, Tony exceeded expectations and was blessed with an additional year of life, creating cherished memories with those he loved.
Tony Lee Cummings Jr. will be remembered for his gentle heart, resilience, and the quiet joy he brought to all who knew him. His legacy lives on through love, remembrance, and the many lives he touched. If you would like to join us, we would love to see you. We thank everyone for reaching out and sending love, abundance and prayer during this sensitive time.
