Tonya Nicole Smith-Johnson

Tonya Nicole Smith Johnson 51, was born July 23, 1968 in Conway, Arkansas to Marvin and Gwendolyn Smith. She accepted Christ in January 2017. Tonya Graduated from Bishop Hogan High School. Tonya was married to Thomas Johnson for over a decade. Tonya was employed through the Housing Authority as a Housing Inspector. She enjoyed spending time daily with her children, traveling, dogs, puzzles and coloring pictures. Anything her grandchildren were apart of, so was she. She departed this life on November 25, 2019. she was preceded in death by both her grandparents paternal Arthur and Edoma Smith and maternal Benjamin and Gloria Fortune, two uncles, Arthur Smith Jr, Edward Smith, one aunt Willa French. Tonya leaves to cherish her loving memories; five children, Cecily (Quinten Sr.) Tyler (Denisha), Tisha, Miles and Keon all KCMO. Two brothers Shawn R. Smith of KCMO and Derrick Cook of Kansas. Aunts, Lareeta Robinson (Syvord) Little Rock, Arkansas, Irene Gray, Martha Hampton, Helen Bryant (Melvin) and Dorothy Smith, Seven grandchildren; Quinten Jr., Melo, Tyla, Mazyah, Carter, Ka’Lani and Derion. Three Nephews; Derrick II, Jeremiah and Kameron Cook, special friend John Brown and many other close family and friends.
