Listen to Obituary

Tracy Danielle (Davis) King passed away on February 16th, 2024, in Kansas City, MO, after a brief illness. She was born to George Davis and Patria Davis on June 19th, 1968, in Truman, Arkansas. She grew up in Kansas City, MO, and graduated from Ruskin High School. After high school, she attended medical assistant school, became a medical assistant, and worked for the Kansas City Health Department for several years. Tracy furthered her education at Friends University and earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration. After leaving the Health Department, she worked for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company for many years before being employed by Prudential Insurance Company of America as a manager in disability claims. Tracy loved life and lived it to the fullest, traveling, shopping, and spending time with her family.

There was never a family event where she was absent. She was the ‘young” auntie to all her nieces and nephews. She was always ready to explore and hang out with them. Tracy loved her children and grandchildren dearly and was always ready to spoil them with lavish gifts. Having a close-knit family, Tracy often spent weekends hanging with her sisters, mother, and brother. She was married to Clifford A. King II for thirty-two years, and to this union were three children.

She was preceded into death by her father, George Davis, and grandmother, Juanita Wiley.

She is survived by her spouse, Clifford “Tony” King II, her daughter Jamie Davis, and sons Justin (Stacia) Davis and Julian “Jake” King. She leaves to cherish her five beautiful grandchildren, Reighn Davis, Brook’lynn McGill-Henderson, King Davis, Justice Davis, and Stone King. She also leaves to cherish her grandfather- Samuel Wiley; mother- Patria Davis; and siblings- Hilary Davis, April (Micheal) Jones, Erin Davis, and Brandon Davis; and a host of other relatives (nieces, nephews, cousins) and friends.

The family wishes to extend our gratitude to the nursing staff at St. Luke’s Hospital and the staff at KC Hospice House for your love, care, and concern towards Tracy and our family.
