Tykeiaa Lashawn Murrell

Tykeiaa Lashawn Murrell was born December 1, 1975, in Wichita, KS to Sue Annie Pickens and Manzel Horton. Tykeiaa was raised by her Aunt Alice Johnson and her sister Diann Wheeler. At age 17, she met Joy Reese, who took her under her wing and was a mother figure to her. Tykeiaa attended school in the Wichita School District.

Throughout her career, Tykeiaa worked for the school district as a bus driver and for the city of Kansas City, MO in the Public Works Department.

Tykeiaa loved her kids and loved spending time with her grandson Damir.

Tykeiaa loved scratch offs and going to the casino.

Tykeiaa was a loving, caring, and non-judgmental individual. She loved her some Anthony Hamilton!

Tykeiaa will be missed by all who loved her.

Tykeiaa was preceded in death by her daughter, Deveonshai Murrell; mother, Sue Annie Pickens; her father, Manzel Horton, brothers: Darrell Peoples, Terry Reed; and sister, Janean Murrell.

Tykeiaa leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Joshlin Woodard; bonus daughter, Renise Woodard; sons: Daniel Woodard, Joshua Woodard, and Jeremiah Woodard; grandson, Damir Gaston, all of Kansas City, MO; brothers: Ricky Pickens (Evelyn), Greg McHenry, Keith Talbert, Eric Murrell; sisters, Diann Wheeler, Sonya Nicholson, Yolanda Currie, all of Wichita, KS, Marlena Gentry of Tulsa, OK, Cynthia Reed, of Denver, CO, and Kathy Horton, of Rialto, CA, and a host of family and friends.
