Valarie Marie Moland was born on March 28, 1964, in Kansas City, Mo to James Moland Sr. and Martha Moland. She was a lifelong resident of Kansas City, Mo. She peacefully departed this life on February 13, 2024.
She gave her life to Christ at an early age. She became a member of Greater Mt. Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church in Kansas City, Missouri.
Valarie was the definition of a strong black woman. She enjoyed working, playing cards and spending time with family and friends. She was humble and very independent. Overall, she was a nurturer and a mother to a lot of people. She would give her last and the shirt off her back to help someone in need. Long as she could make others smile, she was happy and that made her day. She was known to be stern and outspoken. That is what made her unique. She meant what she said, and people admired her for that.
Valarie preceded in death by her mother Martha Moland and brother James Moland Jr.
Valarie is survived by her loving children Anthony Moland (Tamika), Temkia Moland (Devon), Nicole Moland; two sisters Zorraine Moland, Lorraine Cook (Benny); three brothers Wayne Moland (Beverly), Jerome Moland (Hattie), Joseph Moland; grandchildren Marquan Trotter, Maliyah Forbes, Tre’Von Moland, Kalon Moland- Braden, Destiny Moland, DeeAnthony Moland, Anthony Moland Jr, Ace Moland, Jamal Rhodes; great-grandchildren Samara Moland, Jaden Moland, Devon Moland,
Ke’Maun Braden, a beloved companion Edward Williams and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
