Vealta L. Evans‑Williams, 43, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2026. Her time on this earth was far too short, but the love she shared and the joy she brought to others will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew her.
Born on October 9, 1982, in Kansas City, Missouri, Vealta was the cherished daughter of Alfonso Evans and Deborah D. Moore. She grew up surrounded by family, community, and deep-rooted Kansas City, while spending some of her childhood in Sacramento, CA. She was a graduate of DeLaSalle High School and later continued her education at the University of Phoenix.
Vealta dedicated many years of her life to serving others as an Environmental Services Technician. Her friends and coworkers truly enjoyed working with “V” as they called her, appreciating not only her professionalism but also the warmth and friendship she brought to every day.
Vealta’s loved ones will forever remember her radiant smile and her unforgettable, quirky laugh—one that could light up a room and lift even the heaviest of spirits. She found joy in the simple things: traveling and spending time with her family, sharing laughter, and cheering on her beloved Kansas City Chiefs. Game days were more than football—they were moments of togetherness, celebration, and love.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Deborah D. Moore; her father, Alfonso Evans; her brother Alex F. Evans and her maternal grandparents, Betty and Alvin Moore. Though she has reunited with them, her presence remains deeply felt here.
Vealta leaves behind a legacy of love through her daughter, Kayvon Shell; her brother, Armund Moore; her sister, Shaneka Hardiman; and her treasured grandchildren, Jaxton M. and Carmuan C. She is also lovingly remembered by a host of nieces, nephews and great nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.
