Veotis Owens

Veotis Owens, 75, passed away on February 5, 2018 at Serenity Skilled Nursing Center in Kansas City, Missouri. He was born on November 8, 1942 in Terry, Arkansas to Robert E. Owens and Zeola Nelson Owens. He grew up in Wrightsville, Arkansas. Veotis graduated from JC Cook high School in Wrightsville, Arkansas.

He began working for the City of Kansas City, Missouri in the Waste Water Division, and the Pollution Control Department. He worked for 37 ½ years and retired and retired in 2003. He loved Ping Pong, Bowing, and Fishing. Veotis married Celeste Humphrey on November 23, 1968 in Kansas City, Missouri. They were happily married fo 50 years. He is preceded into death by his parents; Robert E. Owens and Zeola Owens, his brothers; Earl L. Owens and Floyd E. Owens.
