Vertrecia T. Ramey

Vertrecia T. Ramey lovingly known as (Tre-Rec) or Trecie was born on May 1,1963 in Kansas City, Mo. to Cledis and Lola Ramey. She was preceded in death by her father and mother; Cledis and Lola Ramey, 3 brothers Kenneth Ramey, Darren Ramey and Curtis Leakes and her fraternal and Maternal grandparents.

Vertrecia was educated in the Kansas City Public School system graduating from Central High School in 1981. She attended Oklahoma Christian University for 1 year and later received an associate’s degree from Penn Valley Community College in 1986. She was a member of the Swope Parkway Church of Christ. Vertrecia was employed with the U.S. Postal Service for 35 years. She held various positions at the post office and kept her co-workers entertained. There was always a new experience in the work place.

Tre-Rec LOVED all sports especially Basketball and watching her son play football. She was her son’s biggest Cheerleader and personal motivator in life. She may have been short but she was mighty and full of life. Tre-Rec coached basketball for the K.C. Rebels, The Machine, and various other boys and girls teams over the past 25 years. Vertrecia Loved Life, Family, Friends and Traveling. She never got tired of making sure everyone around her was having a good time. Her biggest enjoyment came from spending time with her grandchildren who called her G.G. (Gangster Grandma).
