In His infinite wisdom and gentle grace, Almighty God reached down from Heaven and whispered ever so quietly to one of his children these words: “Come with me my daughter for it’s time to go home.” And so, it was that on November 29, 2020, God closed the eyes of our beloved Victoria.
Victoria Cherry (Bonds) was born December 9, 1942 in Henning, Tennessee to Ethel & Robert Bond. She was preceded in death by: her father, Robert Bond, Jr; mother, Ethel Bond; beloved sisters, Francis Bond, and Leslie Sue Roper.
Victoria married James Cherry and together they raised a son, Anthony Cherry. Victoria was a warm, loving and caring person who loved listening to Gospel music and reading the Bible. She worked for Nevel Luggage, and Gard Oil.
Victoria leaves to cherish her fond memories: her husband, James Cherry; son, Anthony Cherry; brother, Robert Bond, Jr. of Chicago, Illinois; sisters, Dorothy Lee of Chicago, Illinois, Lillian McGauthy of Dayton, Ohio, and Gloria Easterland of Chicago, Illinois. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
