Listen to Obituary

Vincent Otis Lindsay I “Vito” was born in Kansas City, Kansas on December 20, 1961 to the parents of Aaron and Delores Lindsay. He was preceded in his transition by his parents Aaron and Delores Lindsay, sister Ada Lindsay and son Vincent (Vito) Lindsay II. He departed this earth on November 26, 2022 at the University of Kansas Hospital.

Vincent attended Southeast High School and graduated in 1980.

Vincent worked at Pepsi for 22 years in Kansas City, MO and retired in 2019. He had various other jobs including the school district and General Motors.

He loved to host, cook and Barbecue for family and friends. He especially loved spending time with his wife, kids, siblings and grandchildren. He was very humble and kind to everyone who loved him. He enjoyed watching the Kansas City Chiefs play football and his favorite show to watch was old Western Cowboy shows. He was a man that spoke little to no words. When he spoke, he demanded the room and was very straight forward but had love behind all his actions. Even when he got sick, he was always concerned about everyone else's well-being.

He was a God-fearing man. He was a member of Concord Fortress of Hope. He gave his life to Christ at Palestine Missionary Baptist Church of Jesus Christ.

Vincent and Debra, his wife started dating in 1991 and got married in 2010.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife Debra Lindsay; one daughter Vanecia (Domingo) Codner, one Son Devon Lindsay; four siblings Adrienne Lindsay, Ronald (Twyla) Lindsay, Myron Lindsay, Vonda Lindsay; three grandsons Vincent Lindsay III, Christian Lindsay, and Zayvian Sheets-Lindsay; two granddaughters Amyiah Long-Lindsay and Nova Lindsay; one brother-in-law Noah Young; one special aunt Audrey Faye Jasper and a host of nieces and nephews.
