Virgie Mae Dudley of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away peacefully at Carondelet Rehab in Kansas City, Missouri, on Thursday, June 10, 2021.
Ms. Dudley was born in Vance, Mississippi, to the parents of Ivory and Dolly Mae Starks. She grew up spending time with her were four sisters down in the Delta. She moved to Kansas City, Missouri, in September 1965 to provide her children a better life.
Ms. Dudley worked as a Certified Nurses Assistance (CNA) as a career, but her true passion were her children, cooking, and hosting anyone who would come to her home. Ms. Dudley believed in keeping her family close and even raised five grandchildren to maintain family unity.
Ms. Dudley joined and maintained a consistent membership at Sunlight Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of both Pastor Julius Rambo Sr. and Pastor Rickey Rambo.
Ms. Dudley is preceded in death by her parents, Ivory and Dolly Mae Starks daughter, Seartha Staley, son, Ivory Lee Starks, and sisters Claire Mae Bradley, Ellen Elizabeth Starks, Ivory Mae Starks, and Brenda Starks.
Ms. Dudley touched the lives of many with her smile and generosity and maintained her trademark sense of humor to the very end. She loved cooking for family, spending time with her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and watching her favorite TV shows and lifetime movies.

Partner, Leland Wilson, son, William Earl Dudley, Daughters, Murie Shobe (Quinton), Carolyn Jones (William Ruffin), Doris Watson (Phillip) all of Kansas City, Missouri and Ardella McMillon (Larry) of Brownstown, Michigan, twenty grandchildren, sixty-eight great-grandchildren, and thirteen great-great grandchildren
The family of Ms. Virgie Dudley has Precious Memories that will never be forgotten.
