Listen to Obituary

Vivian Yvonne Williams was born on September 14, 1961, in Steele, Mo., to the union of Leonard and Betsy Williams. She passed away on January 22, 2023

Vivian was preceded in death by her father: Leonard Williams; and brothers: Charles and Trent Williams; sister: Geraldyn Moss; maternal grandparents: Olander and Mary Diamond; paternal granparents: Earsel and Geraldine Morris.

Vivian attended Milton Moore elementary, and Central Middle and East High School where she graduated in 1980. After graduation she attended Pioneer Community College where she received an Associate Degree in business. That did not end her quest for knowledge. Whenever possible, she took courses to advance her education. She also loved to read; her home was filled with many books.

Vivian loved to shop; not only that, but she knew how to find great bargains. Even on Craigslist, we would called her the "Craigslist Queen" because she would bargain with the sellers and always get a great deal. Vivian loved to gather with her siblings and buy things for her mom. Vivian always loved to work, and she had very good jobs, But out of all the jobs she held, taking care of the elderly was her favorite. Even after she was diagnosed with cancer, she still tried to care for her patients. She had a special affection for Mrs. Foley, whom she would travel to Arizona with. Vivian also received an invitation to attend Bill Clintons inagural ball.

Vivian leaves to cherish her memory her mother: Mrs. Betsy Diamond Williams of Kansas City, MO; her children, two daughters: Sequoyah (Reno), and Sheneka WIlliams of Kansas City, MO; two sons: Christopher Williams, and William Paul Carter of Kansas City, MO; her grandaughters: Ra'Maia, and Reaun Dillard; grandsons: Carmine, and Christian Williams, Remere Reno Dillard and Kingston Carter all of Kansas City, MO; her brothers: Leonard Williams of Blytheville, AR, Bernard, and Myron Williams of Kansas City, MO; sisters: Patricia Mitchell, and Marietta Bennett (Tony) of Kansas City, Mo. Rovena Nave (Lantz) of Long Beach, CA; a special aunt that she would talk to: Mrs. Ann Bland of Indianaplis, Indiana, and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, neices,,cousins and other family members and dear friends. Vivian will be sadly missed by her Family and Friends...
