Voncille, known to many as Vonnie, was a kind, generous woman who loved God and her family. Never have we encountered anyone more joyous, anyone so incapable of remembering a wrong or anyone so completely, humanly and unaffectedly generous. Her favorite color was purple. She proved to be young at heart as she enjoyed Charlie Brown (Peanuts Characters), and the Wizard of Oz who’s characters she hilariously referred to as “her cousins”. She also enjoyed shows like the Golden Girls, Sanford and Son, the Twilight Zone, and Alfred Hitchcock. She loved movies, coffee, and dining out. Some of her favorite dining and shows were the old Tiffany’s Attic, Waldo Astoria, and The New Theater Restaurant. Vonnie absolutely adored children. Those in her family and those she met for the first time. She lived a life full of love and acceptance for everyone she met. Vonnie is one you could say, “Never met a stranger”. She loved to travel and planted her feet on the grounds of Hawaii, Turks and Caicos, Jamaica, Canada, Cancun, Puerto Villarta, the Bahamas, New York, Chicago, and more. She embodied the love of Christ and worshipped at Sheffield Assembly. Her laughter, humor, and quick-wit will be deeply missed by all who love her.
