Vontina Marie Deckard

Mrs. Vontina Marie Deckard Vontina Marie Deckard, 49 of Kansas City, MO passed away suddenly on January 22, 2016. She was born September 6, 1966 in Kansas City, MO. Vontina is preceded in death by her parents Clyde Deckard Jr., Katherine Rose Deckard and one sister, Paula Robinson. Vontina was a proud 1984 graduate of Paseo High School. After graduation she relocated to Los Angeles, CA and Moline, IL. These ventures proved to be successful in her career endeavors which returned her to Kansas City, where she gained employment with the Westin Crown Center Hotel. To know Vontina was to love her. Truly, it was her tender touch, loving spirit, and warm smile that touched the hearts of many. Without a doubt, Vontina knew no strangers. It was early in Vontina's life that she committed herself to living for Jesus Christ. Vontina's greatest joy in life was her family. She totally adored her children, grandchildren, siblings and cherished friends. She is survived by three daughters, Christian, Christa and Cheyonte Harris of the greater Kansas City, MO area; 3 sisters, Najwa Deckard Los Angeles, CA., Pamela (Cardell) Baker Kansas City, MO., Kimberly (AL) Cole Murfreesboro, TN.; one brother Clyde (Anna) Deckard III Kansas City, MO.; 2 grandchildren Lamiya and Aaurie and a host of family and friends.
