Wallace Martin, Jr., 69, passed away on August 31, 2023, in Kansas City, MO. He was born on February 4, 1954, in Shreveport, LA to Wallace Martin, Sr. and Mae Ella Martin.

Wallace grew up in Kansas City, MO and was educated in the Kansas City School District.

Wallace Martin, Jr. was a stellar member of the community. He was often called upon for favors and deeds due to his willingness to help others.

Wallace enjoyed driving over the road which he did as a career and for enjoyment with family for vacation.

Wallace was affectionately known as, “Wally Dawg” and “Smoke” to close friends.

Wallace worked for the City of Kansas City in the Public Works Department for 25 years.

Wallace was happily married to Pauline Martin for 51 years.

He was preceded in death by, both parents; son, Timothy Martin “T-Ray”; grandson, Amir Moore Martin; and brother, Warren Martin.

Left to cherish a lifetime of memories are his wife, Pauline Martin; sons, Terry L. Martin, and Wallace Martin III (Theresa Hall); daughter, Tamika Martin; sisters, Mary Martin, and Alice Martin; brothers, Walter Martin, Wilbert, and Willie Martin; a special aunt, Lessie B. Crowder (Aunt Bea); 3 grandchildren whom he helped to raise, Michelle Parks, Tyronn Martin, and Paul Martin; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
