Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away, James 4:14. Walter “Eugene” Hicks Jr. Life was a vapor that faded to fast. Eugene as he was affectionally known to his family and friends was 38 when he left his earthly life to begin his eternal life with our Heavenly Father.
Eugene attended and graduated from Kansas City, Missouri Public Schools. Life took Eugene in many directions but his children held his heart and they meant the world to him. His goal was to become the best version himself so that he would be the best father to his boys. He loved them with an unconditional love and desired to give them the world. On his path to becoming a better man and father he found his passion and career as an over the road truck driver and was employed with Systems Transport. Eugene was a huge gamer and absolutely loved bowling and bowled competitively for 10 years.
He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Mt. Ararat Missionary Church and was committed to the youth ministry.
Eugene had his own vocabulary using words such as "Hustleno", "Boss Made", and his signature line “I’m on my grind.”
