Walter T. Johnson

Mr. Walter “Jackie” T. Johnson passed away on July 15th,  2023  peacefully at his home in Kansas City, Mo at the age of 70. Walter was born July 10th, 1953, in Sunflower Mississippi to the late Emma and TJ Johnson. At an early age he moved to Kansas City Mo where he met, and married the love of his life, Caroline Watson. To this union two children were born.

Walter was the star basketball athlete in high school as well as college. He graduated from Lincoln high school class of 1972 with a scholarship to Iowa State University.

Although Walter was never baptized. His faith in God was very strong. He was a Christian and accepted the Lord as his personal savior. His love for reading his bible, quoting scriptures, spending time with family, and friends, as well as playing basketball was like no other.

Walter is proceeded in death by his parents Emma, and TJ Johnson. One sister Lula Mae Johnson-West. Two brothers, JT Johnson, and Jimmy Dale Johnson. One niece Chandra Johnson, and two nephews Lonzo Johnson, and Kenyon Myers.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his son Walter(LaDuna)Watson of Oklahoma City Ok. His daughter JaQuetta Watson of Kansas City Mo. Six sister, Christine Johnson, Cozetta Johnson, Tina Marie Johnson, Stacy Johnson, Gwen Johnson, and Theresa Johnson. Six brothers, Willie Johnson, Jerry Johnson, Larry Johnson, Keith Johnson, Andre Johnson, and Jerome Johnson. Five grandchildren, Tiera, Delante, Walter, Rakia, and Jordan Two great grandchildren. Four loving aunts, Lizzie Taylor, Magnolia White, Tinnie Moore,  Linda Steward, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
