Wendy Rose Carlisle Casey

Wendy Rose Carlisle Casey was born on October 14, 1965. She departed on January 26, 2019. Wendy was born to her parents, Fred and Bronzelle Carlisle. She was born in Birmingham, AL and moved to Kansas City, MO as a young girl. She was preceded in death by her father, Fred O. Carlisle.

She attended schools in the Kansas City MO School District. She was a graduate of Southwest High School. Wendy was a supervisor at Adient Company “formerly known as Johnson Control”. She was employed there for almost 30 years. She led her team daily in morning prayer with a prayer circle before they began their day. She was loved by her colleagues and will be sorely missed.

Wendy was formerly married to Richard McRoy and they welcomed their only child, Brandan Carlisle. Brandan was her heart. She loved him with everything she had. She was recently wed to Qwond Casey on her birthday, October 14, 2018.

Wendy loved the Lord. She was baptized in Jesus Name and received the gift of the Holy Ghost sitting in the car with her “Aunt Betty”. Wendy was a member of New Bethel Church under the leadership of Bishop A. Glenn Brady. She served as a Greeter welcoming the people of God into the house of the Lord. She was a faithful member of her Sunday School class. She was a former member of Grace Holy Trinity Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor John Jones.

To cherish her memories she leaves her husband, Qwond Casey (his children Elijah (EJ) and Somaya). Her son, Brandan L. Carlisle. Her mother, Bronzelle Gentry Carlisle. Her brother Rudy Gentry, (his children Jasmine, Rionna, Taylor, Ryan, Ahvon, Joy). Her sister, Alecia D. Carlisle (her daughter Ashley). She leaves four grandsons, Brandan, Alijah, Brisan and Josiah. She also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
