Willa “Mrs. WE” Edwards, 76, passed away on February 4, 2022, at St. Joseph Hospital, in Kansas City, MO. She was born on August 1, 1945, in Kansas City to Henry Walker and Willa Mae Cline. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Kansas City, MO. After high school she began work for the Kansas City Missouri School District as a Teacher Aid where she worked for more than 20 years. She retired in 1982 after about 25 years of service. She really loved her family and getting them together to celebrate birthdays and holidays. Willa also loved fellowshipping with her House of Refuge church family. She married Earl Thomas Edwards Sr. on March 19, 1962, in Kansas City, MO. They were happily married for 59 years. She was preceded into death by her father Henry Walker, Mother Willa Mae Cline, Her two brothers Terry Cline and Sylvester Cline, Her two sisters Viola Hays and Regina Cline, and One Great grandson Ramell Corde’ Thomas Edwards.
Willa leaves to cherish her memory her soul mate best friend and husband Earl Thomas Edwards Sr. Three daughters Frances Edwards, Melvirene “Cook-e” Edwards, and Earlene “TEE” Edwards, Her One and only son Earl Edwards JR (Sheila Edwards), Four sisters Anita Carter (Willie Carter), Geneva Watson, Betty McNeal, and Arlene Arceo, One brother James Cline, Three Granddaughters Marnita “Nene” Edwards, Juanita “ Honey” Edwards, and Angela Turrentine, Three Grandsons Ramon Edwards SR, Dwayne Turrentine & Christian Jones and One very special honorary granddaughter Ranesha “Nesh” Wiley and a host of other relatives and friends.
