Rev. William Bill Dean was born November 18, 1942 in Boley OK to Richard Dean and Lillian Brown. Rev. Dean enlisted in the United States Army in 1963. He was Honorably discharged in 1966 after serving in the Vietnam War. He was stationed in Saigon as well as the Dominican Republic. After leaving the service he migrated from Los Angeles California to Tulsa OK. In his time in Tulsa he had several businesses. He ran a chicken farm and he also owned an auto detail shop. He settled in Kansas City in the late 70's. During this time the Lord called upon him to do God's work. Rev. Dean founded Jesus Christ Love Ministries which he ran for over 15 years. Rev. Dean's true passion was in helping people. In 2008, he founded Daystar Worship Center, which was a transitional living facility and outreach program. For over 30 years, Rev. Dean worked with people struggling with addictions and alcohol issues. He provided spiritual guidance, counseling, mentorship, and most of all friendship. Known to most as "Brotha Dean", there is no one who he would turn away if they needed help. An avid runner, he also Coached Boys Youth AAU track in the 1990's. In 2012 he married Esther Jean Johnson. They were together until her passing in 2016. Reverend Dean lives on through his son William Rubin Dean; Wife Amanda Roberdeau. His son Stephen William Dean; wife Erica Tillman. His grandchildren, Miles Isiah Dean, Alexandra Catherine Dean, Kaiden Micheal Dean, Mackenzie Joyce Dean, and Isaac Stephen Dean. As well as a multitude of step-children, nieces, nephews, and all of his brothers and sisters in Christ who loved him.
