Willie Baskin

Willie Baskin, 73, passed away on April 27, 2024, at home in Kansas City, Missouri. He was born on January 20, 1951, in Shaw Mississippi to Josh and Nancy Baskin.

He began work for Indian Hills Country Club as a waiter/bartender where he worked for 4 years. For many years he was involved in Tiger’s Den/ City Market. He married Wanda Mae Veal at a very young age. They had 3 children and were married for 5 years.

He was preceded into death by his siblings: Betty Lee Baskin (sister), Leeann Brown-Williams (sister), Elizabeth Baskin-Vaughn (sister), Cornine Baskin (sister), Floyd Baskin (Uncle Fred) (brother), Sammy Lee Baskin (brother), and Earl Baskin (brother)

He is survived by his children: Willie T. Baskin (17 children), Sheila Baskin (2 children), and Ronnie Baskin-Long (3 children). He leaves behind his siblings: Earnestine Baskin (sister) and Josh Baskin (brother). Also leaves behind 35 plus great grandchildren, his best friend and ex-wife Wanda Mae Horner, and a host of other relatives and friends.
