Willis Frederick Banks, 82 years old passed away on February 11, 2022, at the home. He was born on August 3,1939 in Leavenworth, Kansas to Willis Hicks and Thelma J. Banks.

Affectionately known as “Banks” he grew up in Leavenworth, Kansas and attended R.T.  Cole in Kansas City, MO.

He began working at Price Candy Co. in the late fifties as a confectioner (Candy Maker). In 1970 he began working at Fair Fax (General Motors) for 20 years and went out on medical leave on March 1,1992.

He was an avid golfer who won multiple UAW tournaments, and he was a bowler with the Tuesday Senior Rollers, and a softball player on the GM League, and loved to play dominoes.

Banks married Zelma Banks; this marriage was later dissolve.  Currently residing at the home is his loving wife of 49 years Vivian Banks.

He is preceded in death by his parents Willis Hicks and Thelma J Banks, one brother Edward R Banks, a daughter Terri L Banks and a special aunt Josephine Jones.

He is survived by his wife Vivian, one sister Lala Gilkey of Kansas City, MO, two son's Frederick V. Banks (Rachelle) of Kansas City, MO, Troy L. Banks (Linda) of Kansas City, MO, three daughter's Toni L. Tyson of Las Vegas, NV, Marlene R. Banks of Dallas, TX and Krystle Sanderson of Kansas City, MO, one sister-in-law and five brothers-in-law, twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews and other family and friends.
