W.L Clemons

W. L. Clemons, 73 departed this life on November 29, 2020 at Belton Regional Medical Center, in Belton, Missouri.  He was born on April 19, 1948 in Carriere, Mississippi to Johnnie B. Clemons, Sr and Mary Clemons.

He grew up in Carriere, Mississippi and graduated from George Washington Carver High School in Picayune, Mississippi.  After high school, he attended Longview Community College in Kansas City, Missouri, where he received his Real Estate License.  He joined the United States Army in 1967 and served for two years.  During his time of service, he achieved the rank of Specialist E-4. He later worked for J. E. Dunn as a Master Carpenter, where he worked for 30 years. He retired in 1993 after 30 years.  He then was involved in Real Estate up to the present time.

He married Josephine Lee on December 11, 1969 in Kansas City, Missouri.  There were happily married for 50 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie B. Clemons, Sr., and Mary Clemons; his brother, Johnny B. Clemons, Jr; (Charlestine Clemons); two nephews, Wayne Clemons, and Gary Starr, Jr; three special uncles, R. D. Clemons, Willie Clemons, and Eddie Clemons; his brother-in-law, James Lee; his sister-in-law, Mamie Jean Lee.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Josephine Clemons; his daughter, Teresa Clemons; his sons, Ralph Ceaser (Oakland, California), and Michael Clemons; two grandchildren, Reginald Alavarado (Houston, Texas), and D’Khari McKibben (Las Vegas, Nevada); his sister, Janie Littles (Picayune, Mississippi); his sister and brother-in-law, George and Barbara Gaines (Picayune, Mississippi); his brother-in-law, Robert Lee (Clearfield, Utah); a special niece, Cynthia Thompson (Brian); his cousin and best friend, W. G. Clemons (aka DUKE, New Orleans, Louisiana), and a host of other relatives and friends.
