Listen to Obituary

Wy'Kila (Kila) Greer was born in Kansas City, Missouri on November 7, 1981, to the union of Rowena and Ernest Greer. She passed away on October 13, 2024, at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, Tennessee.

Kila was born with a naturally sweet and kind soul, a heart of gold for everyone she met and was a joy to be around. In her early years growing up, she attended Martin Temple COGIC, where she believed and accepted that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. She attended Raytown South High School in Raytown, MO. She worked at General Motors for 12 years, and the last five years at the assembly plant in Spring Hill, Tennessee.

Kila was a loving mother to her daughter Kiki, a devoted daughter to both her mother and father, and a great friend to so many others. She loved her family, friends, and her two dogs, King and Dutchess. Her love of life was evident in the way she lived. She enjoyed spending time with her family and celebrating any special day or event. She was "the life of the party". Even just sitting on the porch turned into a fun time with family, friends, and of course food, there was never a dull moment. She made the room light up. She loved cheering for her favorite sport teams the KC Chiefs and KC Royals. Kila was beautiful, funny, selfless, cool, smart, jazzy, and tough all at the same time. Our family was not expecting for Kila's life to be cut so short so soon. We are all devastated by this huge loss and she will be forever missed.

Kila was preceded in death by her brother, Ernest Greer, Jr., grandparents, Andrew and Birdie Styles and Robert and Lillie Greer. Kila will always be remembered by her daughter, Nakia Sade Greer, mother, Rowena Greer, father, Ernest Greer, Sr., as well as tons of aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends who were like family to her. She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. "Rest easy, Kila".

John 11:25-26 "Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die."
