On December 27, 1950, a beautiful baby girl was born to Reverend J. B. Randolph and Ruby (Potter) Randolph. Her name was Yolanda Patrice Randolph, or as they would refer to her, “Baby B Bomb”. She was the first of five children born to this union. She grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, and attended Greenwood Elementary School. Reverend Randolph later relocated his family to Warrensburg, Missouri, as he accepted a call to pastor. The family eventually moved back to Kansas City, where she would attend and graduate from Central High School, Class of 1969. Pat, as everyone began to call her, would further her studies at William Jewel College in Liberty, Missouri, where she would obtain her Bachelor’s in Social Work.
Pat returned to Kansas City after college and began working alongside her father and mother in the ministry. Reverend Randolph preached, his loving wife Ruby played the piano, and Pat sang in the choir. Her angelic voice would lead her to meet the love of her life, Sedell Campbell. The two were in the early stages of their relationship when Sedell told her that they were going to get married and have three children. Around that time, Reverend Randolph took interest in the building that we now know as Gethsemane New Testament Baptist Church. Pat was excited about the new building, in expectation of having her wedding there. The owner of the building was generous enough to offer them the opportunity to get married in the facility, even if Reverend Randolph decided not to purchase it. Not long afterwards, the two were married in the new building.
After marriage, Pat joined her husband and became a member of Faith Mission C.O.G.I.C. under Pastor Hubert Lambert. Oh, and as Sedell predicted, the two lovebirds would go on to have three children: Sedell, Joseph, and Candace. Pat began her career working for the state of Missouri with the Division of Family Services. After serving more than 15 years with the state, she accepted a director’s position at Catholic Charities where she worked faithfully until her husband fulfilled a pastoring assignment in Muskogee, Oklahoma. After moving to Oklahoma, she began working for the OSU Extension Office for a program called Healthy Families. After retiring, Pat would focus all of her attention on co-pastoring with her husband. They became the founders of New Balm Outreach Ministries. The two worked alongside each other until her health began to diminish, causing her to move back to Kansas City.
Pat would spend the next few years of her life in and out of hospitals and nursing homes, until sickness finally took its toll on her body. On July 25, 2023, she completed her assignment here on Earth and Heaven welcomed one of its most precious angels home. During her time here, Pat touched many lives through her loving attitude and sweet demeanor. She was a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a sister, an aunt, a cousin, a pastor, and a friend. You knew that you were privileged to have her call you by the term of endearment for EVERYONE she loved on, “Baby!”
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, J. B. and Ruby Randolph, niece, Kiffany Randolph, and two sisters-in-law, Rosland “Renee” Abston and Nikita Charles. Pat leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Sedell Campbell; sons, Sedell Campbell (Kyra) and Joseph Campbell (Aaron); daughter, Candace Campbell; brothers, Jehrome Randolph (Sherrye) and Bruce Randolph; sisters, Olivia Jones and Karen Walker; mother-in law, Mildred Goudeau; grandchildren, Joseph, Saadiah, Kristian, Sakeri, Rylan, Steve, and Alexia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends
