Yolande Hightower

Yolande Denise Hightower, 68, was born in Kansas City, Missouri on August 5, 1956, to John Davis and Gracie Frye. Yolande was preceded in death by both parents, and her beloved daughter Tiffany Hightower.

Yolande was affectionately known as Denny, Mommy, and Nana Frog by those who loved her dearly.  She graduated from Westport High School.  Yolonde worked at Parkway Nursing Home for many years until she retired in 2020.

She married Carlton Hightower, and to their union two children were born: Carlton Hightower Jr. (CJ) and Tiffany Hightower (Tiffy).

Yolande loved spending time with her family and friends, randomly gifting them with “just because” and birthday gifts. She loved watching and rooting for her Kansas City Chiefs, and collecting frogs.

She departed this life on April 14, 2025, and reunited with her parents, and her precious babygirl, Tiffy.

She leaves her legacy of love with her son, Carlton Hightower Jr. (Donieka), one sister, Gale Donley, two brothers, Harrison Frye, Jr., and John Davis Jr., her granddaughter, Brittany Hightower-Robinson (Kevin) and a host of family and friends.
