Lorrie Lee Holman was born to the union of Luther Sylvester and Octavia Strauther Holman on Tuesday, August 4, 1959, 9:30pm at Centreville Township Hospital, in East St. Louis, Illinois. She was raised in East Carondelet, Illinois and moved to California in 8th Grade, then Kansas City, Missouri. She graduated from Central High School on June 14, 1977, in Kansas City, Missouri. She worked with J.O.Y. Program Job Opportunity for Youth (summertime) 1975-1976. She attended Metropolitan Community College (Penn Valley) 1977- 1978. She worked part-time at the Federal Reserve Bank, June 1977 - November 1978, Missouri Pacific Railroad from December 1978 - November 1986, merged with Union Pacific August 1983, the IRS from January 1988 - February 1995 “seasonal” as Data Entry Operator until promoted to Supervisor Data Conversion after completion of training on January 20, 1995, while working part time (weekends) at Sears Logistic Service from October 1988 - February 1991, United States Postal Service on Pershing Rd., Kansas City, MO in February 4, 1995, as a Mail Processing Clerk, acting SDO (Supervisor of Distribution Operation, then attended 16 weeks ASP (Associate Supervisor Program) training class, and graduated from the fifth class as regular SDO on February 13, 2001. She was later requested to return craft as a Mail Handler in 2007 until retirement in March 2026. She retired as a federal employee, combined 7 yrs with the IRS, and the USPS 31 years, totaling 38 years.

She married Patrick Aaron Tyler Sr. in June of 1988, with a blessing born out of that union, their daughter, Tameka Shavon Tyler, born at 9:42pm on February 18, 1991 at Truman Medical Center, weighing 7 lbs. 1 oz., 19 1/8 inches long, with a head circumference of 12 3/4 inches. She and Patrick divorced on January 19, 2006. She later married Domonic Jamele Franklin on March 19, 2010, and they divorced on February 6, 2018, with no children from that union. (THANK GOD)

Her joy in life was her daughter Tameka, and her awesome, loving, handsome grandsons: Kyree Rayshawn, King Zirel, and Chase Zyair. She loved to go out to eat, as y’all know she loved food and liked to go shopping with her daughter. She was a big movie person and most of all she loved spending time with her boys: Kyree, King, & Chase. Lorrie was preceded in death by her parents: Luther Sylvester and Octavia Strauther Holman; parental grandparents: Jasper and Mary Hoskins-Holman; maternal grandparents: James Strauther and Ophelia Hill-Bell; brothers: Luther Holman Jr., Jasper Holman, Darrell Holman, and Jimmy Holman; sisters: Tarie L. Holman, Dinah Holman, Linda and Brenda (twins) Holman; and nephews: Aaron Strauther and Craig Richardson. Lorrie leaves to cherish her memory her only loving child; her daughter, Tameka; son-in-law, Chris; and their handsome children (My Boys) Kyree Rayshawn, King Zirel, and Chase Zyair; brothers, Aaron Strauther, Seaside, CA, James (Lorraine) Strauther, Madison, IL; sisters, Mamie Bauldin, Niles, MI, Mary Richardson, KCMO, Maxine Buckley, East Carondelet, IL, Ophelia Holman, Lees Summit, MO, Carrie Wynn, KCMO, Darlene Holman KCMO, Melody Holman, Grain Valley, MO, Augusta (George) Stallworth, Lees Summit, MO; sister-in-law Rosalind Holman, KCMO, and a host of nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces, and cousins.
